Brighton & Hove Albion 0-2 Walsall
Goals: Corica 6' (Walsall), Leitao 7 ' (Walsall)
Man Match: Fitzroy Simpson. (Walsall)
Report:
The Saddlers never looked in danger of losing this game with a sound performance against a Brighton side that looks destined to struggle.
Corica's goal came via a rebounded shot that had hit the post, while Leitao's goal came from a curling shot that left the keeper with no chance. Walsall didn't need to chase another a goal and sat back soaking up Brighton attacks.
BBC Radio WM, reported an appalling performance from referee Ross who booked 5 Saddlers players including Walker, Hay, Roper and Zdrilic.
The only injury problem to come out of the game was Steve Corica, who was replaced according to Colin Lee on WM following a problem with his ribs.
No complaints about this result, three points in the bag, and a top 10 position away from the bottom.
