Antonio Conte is holding crisis talks with Roman Abramovich after Chelsea could only draw at mediocre Burnley. Seriously though, the visit to Turf Moor was always a potentially tricky assignment - and so it proved. There was no shame in being held by a resilient Burnley. Chelsea cannot and will not win every match. Just as long as they don't start to emulate ManUre, incurring a series of draws, as this truly would blow the Premiership wide open. However we remain insulated by the fact that the five wannabes below us will continue to take points off each other, thereby nullifying the adverse effects of Chelsea occasionally dropping points too.

Furthermore, we did actually draw by the same score at home to Burnley two years ago and still proceeded to cruise to the Premiership, so if anything, this disappointment is a good omen. Seriously though, Chelsea were none too convincing in putting one goal past West Bromwich, Sunderland, and Crystal Palace. Sooner or later, this reliance on a one-nil lead will come unstuck, as it did at Turf Moor. The message to Conte's troops is really simple. Get yourselves a clinching second goal, guys!
