With the help of a very obliging home defence and goalkeeper, Chelsea came back from the dead to score thrice in the last half hour. Until Costa's timely equaliser, the hosts looked certain to double their lead and emerge victorious, but the lack of a killer instinct was their undoing, as the Premiership leaders taught them a valuable lesson in clinical attacking. Of course the contest descended into a melee in added on time, but this custard pie fight should not disguise the fact that this was a momentous win for Conte's team. Chelsea's back-to-back triumphs against Tottensham and Manchester Wannabes have gone a long way towards convincing the doubters that this team are the genuine article when it comes to being Premiership contenders. 

Okay pop pickers, here is my two cents worth about the latest triumph:
No club outside of Spain, or maybe even inside, has licked the 'great' Guardiola as often as we have.
We did get the benefit of the doubt from the referee a few times, but it's long overdue.
They had us on toast for fifteen minutes before the interval and fifteen after it, but didn't kill us off.
Kevin De Bruyne had his best game for Chelsea, laugh out loud....
Big shout out for Tibo. His blocks and stops kept us in the match.
David Luiz was immense.
Azpilicueta was almost as good. He was wasted at left back.
Alonso: a bit exposed but his pass for the third goal was superb.
Kante: the nearest we have to a new Makalele, but he gave the ball away almost as often as he won it. Claude was never that careless.
Cahill: unlucky or clumsy? He rescued Tibo once in the second half. Gaz never ever lacks effort.
Moses? In his first spell with us, he was a willing runner but lacking a bit of quality. Now, we are all thinking, 'give the ball to Vic!'
Fabregas? Killer pass for Costa and accurate passes on the rare occasions he had the ball.
He also has a knack of winding up opponents, so deserves points for getting the petulant Fernandinho sent off.
Pedro: not at the races today.
Willian: his run and shot looked easy on tv. It was anything but, which is why he was playing, and not you or I.
Hazard: a brilliant outlet for counter attacking. When the ball is played up to him,it sticks to him, he turns and then gets brought down.
Costa, for the second week running, didn't get the ball in the first half and was world class in the second half.
Message to the Chelsea team: give Diego the ball. He knows what to do with it!
Also, someone tell Rooney to lose that beard. It's not a good look!
Finally, the sooner that West Ham crawl back down to the Championship, the better.
Eight-in-a-row. Unbelievable!
