After the midweek cup misery in the east end of London, it was normal business resumed for a rampant Chelsea that defended exceptionally well at tricky Southampton and emerged with their fourth successive Premiership clean sheet. The away team, recording their second win of the year at St Marys, moved to fourth position in the charts, a solitary point behind the dastardly triumvirate of Arsenic, Liverfools, and Manchester Mercenaries. Fortunately Manure are dropping further and further down the pecking order, thereby confirming the growing realisation that sourpuss Mourinho is yesterday's man.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, the flying Hazard opened the proceedings with a sixth minute strike from close range, when he was put into space by the in-form Moses, before he stepped inside from the right and slotted home with his left foot.

Our defence has been so revitalized in recent weeks that Tibo Courtois had little to do, in spite of Southampton's lion share of possession. Then, Diego Costa doubled the advantage with a sumptuous right-footed curler from outside of the box. This showstopper capped another energetic performance from the moody marksman. As long as he and Hazard remain injury-free, then Chelsea's bid for Premiership glory is a distinctly realistic one.

Now November beckons. Conte's troops will be hard pressed to emulate their Premiership success of October which amounted to four shutouts and a maximum twelve points. If there is any justice, hyperactive Conte will be awarded Manager of the Month.
