The following 24 players have been announced as the unit that will do battle in the six group matches of the 2015-16 Champions League competition. Far too much hot air is blown about who is included and who is omitted. It's a squad named for six flipping matches. That's all. It's not a marriage commitment, people. Anybody overlooked can be admitted to the happy camp after Christmas if/when Chelsea reach the last sixteen.
Of those left to watch from afar is new signing Djilibodji. It transpires that Mourinho knows little about his credentials. This in turn begs the question as to who authorised the signing of the Senegalese defender in the first place. Blimey, there is something not quite right with the turning of the wheel at Chelsea Football Club. Meanwhile, our three group opponents will be delighted to know that Ivanovic has been included in the European adventure!
There are only four English players named: Jamal Blackman, Gary Cahill, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and John Terry. Anyhow, here are the 24 names.
