Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Sebastien Bassong from Newcastle United for an £8million fee. The 23 year old who refused to travel with Newcastle last weekend to their pre-season game against Dundee United, has now passed a medical and agreed personal terms with Spurs.
Bassong made his intention to leave Newcastle clear at the beginning of the summer break and has continued to show a lack of interest throughout the summer, resulting in being fined two weeks wages by the club, just last week.Despite the move back into the Premiership the Frenchman will not feature in the first 2 games of the season after picking up a red card against Fulham at the end of last season.
It is only good business if we spend some money on players, as unlike the rest he was on small wages. But he wanted to go so f@ck him, now he can't unsettle the others
