Capello to stay on as England boss

The FA have today announced that Fabio Capello will keep his job as England manager, despite a disasterous World Cup campaign which had many England fans calling for the 64 year old Italian's head, after a crushing 4-1 defeat to Germany in the last 16.

Club England Chairman Sir Dave Richards believes that Capello is still the best man for the job, ending speculation over Fabio's future, despite him being told on Monday he could expect to wait two weeks for a decision.  It took the FA just 4 days to decide to give the England gaffer their full backing.

Capello will remain in charge with England until the 2012 Euro's, and will face increased pressure to see his side both qualify and perform well in that contest in order to overcome the disappointment of South Africa 2010.
