Germany v England - Preview

Stuart Pearce's under 21 side face England's old rivals Germany tomorrow in the final game of the group stages. England are already guaranteed a spot in the knock out stages of the European Championships after their 2-0 defeat of Spain last week. Just a point from the Germans tomorrow would secure England's place at the top of the group.

Germany also need at least a point from the game to join England in the next stage.  All three points for Germany would see them finish top of the group.

England will be fired up for the fixture as they prepare to take on an old rival.  Although manager Stuart Pearce is likely to rest legs ahead of the next stage of the competition later this week. 

For Germany left back Sebastian Boenisch looks set to miss out with a continuing ankle problem.  Gonzalo Castro and Jerome Boateng are also injury doubts, although they look likely to at least take places on the bench.  It is expected that Marcel Schmelzer will replace Boenisch at the back.

For England Fraizer Campbell is likely to start ahead of Gabriel Agbonlahor, who still struggles to over come the injury which caused him to limp off during the game against Spain.  Theo Walcott could also start after making an impressive substitute appearance.
