Albion fans sold all of there tickets for this vital game in Manchester, many said they were going just to see the lovely modern ground, as the Albion performance and passion were so bad. As soon as the game started, Albion didnt really get out of their own half to have a proper chance, Albion in the first half had one attack on goal, which was a header, straight into James.

Half time drew closer, Robbie Fowler got goal side of Gaardsoe, in which, Tommy pulled Fowler to the ground, red card.

City then had a free kick just outside the area after Johnson hand balled, Anelka hit home, Hoult froze to the spot.

Albion's battle was weak, "We want Robson out" sung many as Hulse was brought on in favour of Earnshaw.

When Earnie was brought on in the 80th minute, Albion had some fight, and as Earnie chased what looked like a dead ball, James missed it, and it rolled in the net, Albion and their following couldnt believe it.

The Baggies' fans chanted "If James can play for England so can I!"

What a day, what a game.
