Club captain Darren Moore today said that the Hawthorns is "buzzing" with the arrival of new boss Bryan Robson. 'Big Dave' said that the players were all looking forward to their first training session with Robson and new assistant manager Nigel Pearson. Moore told the Express & Star "It's a fantastic appointment that will really lift the place," he said.

"He's got a presence about him and I can really see the club progressing under him.

"All the supporters are looking forward to seeing him back and it's almost like the return of the prodigal son.

"There is a buzz about the place.

"The slate is wiped clean with everybody and everyone can start afresh.

"It's just a matter of getting our heads down now and putting some hard graft in now."

"I played against him when he was coming towards the end of his career at Middlesbrough," he said.

"I was playing for Torquay United which was good and I have a picture in my scrap book of us both coming out of the tunnel.

"That was the only time I played against him.

"I was just an up and coming pro at the time and to be on the same pitch as a world class player was really good.

"I'm also looking forward to working with Nigel Pearson and grabbing the vast experience he's had in top-flight football."
