West Brom to support RBL for next two matches

Tradition: Poppy Shirt

By Jemma Tappenden

West Bromwich Albion will continue their tradition of supporting the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal by sporting poppies on their shirts during their next two fixtures.  Albion will wear their special poppy shirt during Monday's televised game with Southampton, then again on November 10th against Wigan Athletic.

A bucket collection to raise money for the Poppy Appeal will take place outside the stadium prior to kick off.

Members of the Blackheath Sea and Army Cadets Unit will then line up in a guard of honour as the teams come out.  A minutes silence will also be held just before kick off in honour of fallen servicemen.

The special poppy shirts will then be auctioned off after the game on the club website, with all proceedings going to the Royal British Legion.
