Bryan Robsons Tenure as Albion boss was terminated yesterday by Mutual Agreement. After 81 games in charge and only 19 wins, The board have moved swiftly in order to rectify this. So after 22 months in charge at the Albion, Bryan Robson has left the club by "mutual Agreement".

In the press this morning, it seems people of the press, current bosses of other clubs etc, seem to think West Brom have been harsh in the "mutual agreement" departing of Mr Robson.

I half expected this as im sure over the years Robbo has gained many a friend within the game. most seem to be pointing to the, its only 8 games, only 1 point off off the play offs and 5 points adrift of Cardiff at the top.

Well these people have nothing to do with our club so from the outside yes it does look harsh and i can see where they are coming from.

But it's not just down to the last 8 games, he should have been sacked at the end of the season. and that wouldn't have looked so bad on us, as it is looking now.

From the clubs point of view, Chaiman Jeremy Peace issued this statement,

"After much deliberation, and in view of the results since early 2006, it has been decided that a change is necessary if the club is to achieve its aims for this season and beyond."

"This is a very important time for West Bromwich Albion. With promotion a priority, the Board felt that given the Club's current league position, the best way forward was to agree to make a change now."

I really would like to wish Bryan Robson all the best, for whatever direction he takes in the future. I was fortunate to see him play for the Baggies, And was sad to see him leave then. But with only 19 wins in 81 games the writing was on the wall.
The Great Escape has gone down in history, as the first club to survive the great Xmas hoodoo. And we now have an Academy to be proud of. we thank you for your help in the making of these.
