I feel sorry for Chelsea supporters who pay huge money to go and watch such a toothless team. The least that the club can do is apologise for such dreary drivel. Maybe the team should be refunding the supporters. Perhaps the club will eventually end its fixation with Italian managers who tend to bring Italian football to the team. Slow and patient build-up play is not paying dividends. Worst of all, the team seems incapable of recording an early goal in any match which means that they are constantly seeking a late effort to bail them out. Until they attack with pace and learn how to unlock packed defences, Chelsea will be also-rans in the Premier League, looking on with envy at the endeavours of our rivals. This goal-shy team now seems ill-equipped to win any silverware this season. Happy new year? The omens don't seem to suggest so.
