This was a complete Jekyll and Hyde match, contested between two equally schizophrenic teams who played out a bore draw in the first half before contriving to produce high drama after the interval. It wasn't so long ago that a Mourinho-led Chelsea didn't know where their next goal was coming from. Now the English champions are a free-scoring unit that can no longer defend. Again, the chief culprit appears to be Ivanovic, as opposing teams are not surprisingly marauding down his flank and finding that this is a good outlet for delivering crosses that the once-reliable Terry cannot cope with any more. For a team that still nurses hopes of success in this year's Champions League, Chelsea look all at sea and ripe for the taking when PSG lock horns with them in the near future.

To make matters worse, the Chelsea team and supporters celebrated our 98th minute equaliser as if they had won the Champions League. It seems that the club has been reduced to getting triumphant at rescuing a point at home against a mid-table team. This represents the fourth draw from five league outings under Grandad Hiddink. There is no compelling evidence as yet that the change of manager has injected an improvement in the team's fortunes. However, the Blues only just remain unbeaten, although similar defending against league leaders Arsenic will be mercilessly punished this forthcoming Sunday. 

At least we can console ourselves that Roberto Martinez was angry at how the proceedings unfolded. He has been a thorn in our side of late, not least when he thwarted a move for John Stones. He also has a winless record at Stamford Bridge, and so it was great to prolong the Spaniard's agony, albeit courtesy of a clearly offside goal by captain Terry in the added time of added time! Perhaps there is a God after all.
