Baggies Reject Leeds Bid For Skipper

Albion have rejected an undisclosed bid from Leeds United for skipper Sean Gregan. Leeds are one of a reported 5 clubs interested in signing Gregan

Albion have rejected an undisclosed bid from Leeds United for skipper Sean Gregan.

Gregan has been "reluctantly" placed on the transfer list after handing in a transfer request.

Leeds manager Kevin Blackwell told the Leeds' official website: "We put a bid in and it's been turned down. He is a player I have respected for a long time and he's been at the top of the division we are trying to get out of for the last five years. I am not giving up on the situation I just feel frustrated that we can't have him at the moment.

"He has made overtures that he would like to come to Leeds and hopefully that will happen."
