Xisco On Loan To Racing Santander

By Tyne-Talk

Despite a striker crisis, Newcastle United have offloaded Spaniard Xisco on loan to Racing Santander for the season, despite the fact he is said to be suffering from a groin injury. The striker who cost Newcastle £5.7million last summer from Deportivo La Coruna but has failed to secure a place in the starting eleven, is the latest of a string of players to leave the club to cut the wage bill.

The deal for the 23 year old has been confirmed by Racing Santander on their official website pending a medical.

I know we need the money but we are in danger of not being able to field a credible team at some point.

Loaning the lad out seems pointless, unless the other club is going to pay all of his wages

If they take some of the wages, it's a good deal, especially since he's apparently hurt right now anyway.

Apparently carrying a groin problem. Hence not in tonights squad, however that could purely be to seal this deal.

He has to pass a medical for this to happen. I cant see them paying his full wages. Other forums are claiming he is on about £40/50k a week!!!!!!!!

Nothing on the club website other than him going out on loan, we will probably never know the ins an outs of the deal

If they don't pay his wages this is far worse than pointless-it's counterproductive.

Maybe they have agreed to sign him next summer if he came on loan. But I agree if we are playing his wages or most of them then we might as well have kept him
