Poll: Extend Nacho's Loan Spell Or Send Him Back?

By Tyne-Talk
February 18 2009

All reports are suggesting that Newcastle United FC are hoping that Ignacio Gonzalez or "Nacho" will be available for selection before the end of the season and before his scheduled return to Valencia. What do you think? Should his loan be extended so that he can prove his worth and make up for the time he has spent with the physio or should he be sent back?

Tyne-Talk is polling all readers to see whether they think Ignacio Gonzalez should have his 1 year loan spell extended at the club or whether he should be sent back to Valencia at the end of the season.

he is a Uruguay International and has a good goal scoring record. I believe that we should give him a good run of games and see how he performs.

Send him back. And you'll see his skills at Valencia :-)

Sorry but I don't like the fact that Newcastle's stadium is "hard".. could affect his recovery (I hope he is at his 100% now).

In the other hand.. time goes by.. and his day is coming. I wanna see him play again. Doesn't really matter where at.

They have likened him to Ballack, and I didn't like that. You call me crazy but I can prove you he should be likened to Zinedine Zidane for the elegance of his moves and playmaking skills. Plus, he has never missed a penalty in his career, and if you analize the time he is on the pitch, his team is always ahead in ball possession. Why don't u analize ball possession percentage for the 25 mins he played vs. Hull City.

Let's see what happens. I'm anxious.

Who's paying the wages? If Valencia, keep him, we could use another live body later in the season.

If we're paying, send his a$$ back.

We are both as blind as each other - the poll is in actual fact to the right of the article on this page.

he's a figure of fun purely because of you, nacho. every player who comes to our club carries our hopes and best wishes onto the pitch, and gonzalez is no different. had he been able to play a few games he may have become a crowd favourite, or not, but as it happens he has not been able to show us a thing...yet. lets hope that changes, i'll not get caried away while we wait though.
but you jumped on here telling us he was better than any player we had ever had, and rejected any suggestion that we could wait and see for ourselves, so we all had a bit of fun at your expense. you make a great target mate, because you get so very wound up at nothing. relax, man.
think of this, if he stays, and does well, and becomes a real star rather than just a third world one, will anyone care that you saw him first? not me, little fella! go dance round ya hat!

I want to see Nacho at Newcastle till the end of this season, then I can follow him at Valencia C.F.

if he is costing us anything then surely he would have been sent back by now right? Perhaps not, if he is here for free then no harm in extending him.
