Steve Cotterill will not be the next Blackpool manager! That's if Gazette reports are to be believed. Cotterill, who used to manage Burnley is a free agent, although its reported he "doesn't figure in the board's thinking." Cotterill was installed as favourite following Larry's departure but it now seems like he won't be getting the job. Regardless of what happens with Parkes and Thompson.
Another man unlikely to want the job is Paul Simpson. Although one of the early front-runners for the job it would appear he's happy at Shrewsbury. He was contacted by The Blackpool Gazette and refused to speak to them. This would appear that he's trying not to get drawn into speculation and get on with his job there.
