I guess we shall find out if the rift between manager and chairman is over by the end of the summer transfer window. This is due to Jose Riga coming out and telling the media he would like to see another ten players at Bloomfield Road this summer. Blackpool have added twelve new faces to the squad this summer and of course were without nine players for the trip to Forest as two had work permit issues, five had no registration and two seem to have vanished (McKenzie and Davies). Although the majority of these issues look like they are or will be resolved shortly, Saturday did give a good indication of what were left with during the winter moths when injuries and suspensions take hold. So clearly extra depth is needed and Mr Riga has ten in mind.
Riga told the Blackpool Gazette: "I need 10 more players before the end of the transfer window but I'm a realist. "It's more important we get the quality rather than the quantity. My obsession is to be able to build a competitive team here.
He added" We will grow as a team and get results. I'm sure we can do it but at the moment I just want more players.
"That isn't me being difficult - I just want to bring more quality players to the squad. "
Applying the pressure to Karl Oyston he said "I want to have choices and I need a lot. It's now up to other people to take care of the money and do the deals."
