After an interview with a local news outlet, Pool manager Simon Grayson has spoken about the form of Liverpool loanee Adam Hammill, and how he hopes he will be able to talk Liverpool to extend the loan until the end of the season. Also, it turns out Floors2Go's new owners will not be sponsoring the Seasiders.
Grayson told “The Blackpool Gazette” that he would be delighted to extend the loan of Adam Hammill from Liverpool, as the winger is only on a loan until January. However, he has also carried a warning, that Pool fans mustn’t get carried away with the youngster, as they are only 2 games in to his 6 month spell.
"We've spoken about trying to keep him for the full season.
Liverpool and Adam want to see how things develop. It's only two weeks into the season and it's still another six months before his loan runs out. So we'll wait and see.
But the way he is playing we'd like to keep him."
In other news, Blackpool FC today received confirmation that Floors2Go will no longer sponsor them. The firm went into administration last month but have since been taken over by a new company called Floor My Home however they've made the decision not carry on with any football sponsorship commitments.
He added ""We wish Blackpool Football Club well in the season and hopefully the sponsorship has been good for them in the past."
In the coming weeks it's expected that a new sponsor will be unveiled, whether a new shirt will be issued this season remains to be seen.
