Robbie Fowler has travelled to London with the Liverpool squad but Rafa Benitez askds the fans to be patient about Robbies inclusion in the team. Rafa say that Robbies match fitness, getting better by the day, is not yet 100%.
He said:
"If I decide to use him, Robbie could start the game. He has the game intelligence needed," said Benitez, but cautiously added: "He must be fit to play really well for us. At the moment we have other strikers who are fitter.
"They must be respected too, but if Robbie keeps on training as he is, he will be ready. Maybe that will be today, in a few days or in a few weeks.
"I understand why people are talking about him. If we don't score goals, it's understandable people want him to come into the side to score the goals.
"But Robbie understands the situation and knows he needs time. There are a lot of important games coming up when he will be needed.
"Maybe it won't be tonight, and maybe it won't even be in a few days. But when the time is right, even if that's in the Champions League, he will be an important player for us.
"We need to think of the next two months, not just the next two games."
