I want to add a signature
To add a signature, go to the Control Centre and click on 'Edit My Signature. Complete the box on the right of the screen and select Submit.

Note: If you want to add an image to your signature panel, you will need to manually add the BBCode tags before and after your image. The codes are {img} before and {/img} (take note of the '/' in the second tag) BBCODE Tags use square brackets which should be substituted for the brackets above [ ]. Images in your signatures should be small and unobtrusive to your message or the thread

How can I include my Signature in my messages
You can either do this manually by selecting the tick box option when writing your message, or you can change the default setting so the box is always ticked. The alter the default setting, go to the Control Centre and choose 'Forum options'. From there, change "Enable "Add my signature" as default" to YES

What is an Avatar?
An Avatar is a small picture that is meant to represent you. This may be an image you find on the Internet, a logo, a badge, a symbol and in some case, an actual photo of yourself. You can upload Avatars in the control Centre (Edit my Files) and manage your Avatars under the setting in the control setting. Some people have multiple avatars that may demonstrate when they are angry, being funny or bored for example. The Avatar is displayed in the top right hand corner of your messages if you choose to add it.

At the moment the above about Avators is currently not in use

Formatting posts /Enchancing your posts

I want to Format my posts.
You can change the font size, colour, make it bold, italic or underlined by using the tool bar when writing your messages. These Smart icons add the tags you need and you can either type between them, or type the word, highlight it and click on the icon. The most common mistake people make is when applying more than one 'format' to a word or sentence (eg. Bold and Red) - If attempting to do this, make sure you only select the word you want to enhance taking care not to select the other tags.

Hint: It is always worth selecting preview to check your message if you are playing around with the format - this will help you to resolve most problems before posting

Adding an image or a link

I want to add an image or a link.
Click on the relevant icon and small window appears - some users with 'pop up blocker' and users of IE7 may receive a warning that a scripted window is trying to appear. This is normal and access should be granted. Follow the instructions in the boxes provided and when submitting a URL (Web address) make sure you do not duplicate the HTTP:// that is already pre-populated in the box.

(e.g. [http:])

Sending private messeges

Which is a great edition
to the features and is a quick way to contact someone privatly without clogging up the threads.

I want to send a Private message
Private messages (PM) cannot be viewed by anyone but they can still be reported if abusive! To send a private message, first click on someone's username and add them as a Buddy. Private messages can now be sent to that person from your Private Message Centre. Alternatively, you can send a Private message from within a thread. You can configure if you want to be notified by email when someone sends you a private message through the forum settings in the Control Centre.
