The press had a field day after the draw with the USA, the usual headlines decrying everything to do with the England setup. The manager now has lost the plot, his shambolic tactics, squad, goalkeeper etc etc…. Doom and gloom, we haven’t a chance, fiasco! How close are they now to comparing the manager's head to a root vegetable? All this after what I believe was a half decent first run out.
Lets not forget the USA are no mugs, having just thrashed the Aussies and beat Spain 2-0 last year. Only for the goalie England were strolling to a comfortable win.
The British press don't give a toss about England winning, truth be told. Their goal is to sell papers. England fans should bear this in mind before they swamp radio phone ins calling for managers heads, and querying his every decision. Have minds of your own, don't read the daily @#$%& or news of the screws. Back your manager, he's a quality manager. Give him and his players every chance. If they fail, well questions will be asked.
No wonder England have not won anything since 1966. To turn on the manager after just one drawn game is pathetic, get a life, get a brain and support your manager and your team.
