That's yoke, not yolk. I stopped reading after that horrendous gaff.

Your article is true and very down to earth, what the yanks have done to L'pool in the last 2 years is unjustified and shows they are in it purely from their financial gain.
Why? David Moores sold to them and not DIC is a question only he can answer. There are 2 postitives to come out of this
1 Hopefully the banks will pull the plug on their loan as RBS is now in the hands of the government they cannot renegitiate refinancing a loan
2 From what I have read in the media all is not lost from DIC
they watch from a comfortable distance in Dubia as the yanks continue to squirm and become more entangled in their own web of deceit. Dic are proposing a new bid come february march 2010 if this be true this will be good for all concerened.
I said 2 but here is a third if the impossible becomes the inevitable (Champions league) and reds do not qualify
and I sincerley hope they do the yanks could be looking at a whole new can of worms for them.
This year the CL could be a problem for one of the big 4

has wanted to sell for sometime but for whatever reason hicks has blocked it why? I dont know I assume that the agreement between them as joint owners stops him (gillette) from doing so. untill they sell and they will we will be in the dark. Unfortunatley

Yes most fans did and why on earth wouldnt we?We expect the manager and players to get it right on the pitch and the suits so sort the business side . After a protracted three year world wide search for the right custonians of the club we trusted Moores and Parry .We were assured the club would not be leaveraged with loans akin to Man u ,oh to turn the clock back.

You will never get a game at Anfield boycotted. The locals and those that know may stay away but the daytrippers and football tourists would still attend. The problem is a lot of "casual" fans see the signing of Johnson and Aqualani and not knowing/caring about behind the scenes, ask where the money problem is.

Thats the problem ,youve hit the nail on the head cherry. Should be very intresting meeting Saturday ,plenty of ideas will be aired . Lets see what prevails.I personally will push for a boycott ,a live sky game .Preferably a cup match .

A much publicised attempted boycott with plenty of attempts at explaining fully why the action was being taken would be effective. Even though I doubt a boycott would work, if it didnt succeed the publicity surrounding it would help get the awareness job done.

If you intend boycotting a match you need to declare your intention in the Dublin Herald and Oslo Gazette for your fans to take notice.

Let's hope the United fans dont read those papers and get confused as well or it could have the double whammy of a boycott of Anfield and lost revenue at Old Trafford!

FORMER Man Utd chairman says the club has lost control of its debts.
Edwards, made an honorary life president of the club after resigning as chairman in 2002, feels that the Glazer family are wielding too much power as owners.

Edwards said: "It concerns me that the club are in so much debt.

"The club are not in control; that family are in control of the debt."

Malcolm Glazer completed his Old Trafford takeover in 2005, a move which left the club with debts approaching £700million.

"I can understand where the fans are coming from with their concerns," said Edwards.

"The crunch time will come when they [the Glazers] exit.

Will they saddle the club with the debt or just sell the club on for a profit because that's all they are interested in?

"How will they leave the club?

"I'm not going to make any accusations because up to now they have behaved fairly well, supporting the manager, and they haven't disrupted the running of the club or the personnel. Time will tell."

During his time in charge, Edwards had given his support to a proposed £623million takeover from BSkyB.

Edwards said: "I thought Sky would have taken Manchester United to a level where nobody could have got near us.

"That's why I recommended their offer in 1998. When they approached us, we had gone 30 years without winning the European Cup.

"I felt that they could have pushed us on to the next level."
