Hicks & Gillett ENEMIES WITHIN

My club is blessed with one of the world’s brightest young coaches. If Rafa had been backed by a board with the best interest of the club at heart he would of now claimed our 19th title. Truth is he has been sadly and treacherously let down.  

The two Americans have proved this summer, yet again, that their own expense accounts will always come before the good of the club.

They wanted Rafa out of the way after he blew the whistle on their true colours, and though Rafa kept his job, we've gotten steadily worse, financially, season on season.

Amongst all the political upheavals and backstabbing at the club, it's of little surprise it appears the troubles have spread to the field of play.

Rafa had to sell to buy.  Alonso's toes were trod upon, hence his departure. Mascherano's head was turned by Barcelona, let's hope he can get over it and put in a decent season. There was no money for a striker or winger. The squad shrank as Rafa tried to improve positions.  

For blame we need look no further than the owners, who have clawed back much of what Rafa raised by selling.  Money, he was told, would be his for the spending.  

They are holding us back from number 19, happy to get fourth place and Champions League qualification each season; they will always be the enemy within.

Does it matter whether it's Gillet or Gillett or bloody scooby doo? the fact that these two muppets are destroying our club is bad enough. The thought that they will not sell and we will have them as owners for a long time to come is depressing for all concerned.

That "one of the world's brightest young coaches" helped cost us No19 last season by playing way too defensively, at home, against some woeful opposition. If we'd played the same tactics throughout the season that we did towards the end, we'd have been out of sight by March/April. Add to that some dreadful signings he's made with the little money available. You can quote Torres, Mascha, Agger plus a few others obviously but the shite far outweigh the top class. And not just cheap shite. Babel, Kewell, Bellamy, Nunez, el Zhar, Voronin, Ngog, Dossena, Lucas, Gonzales, Degan, Pellegrino, Zenden, Kromkamp, Pennant. These guys weren't cheap and how many just warmed the training ground, raking in ridiculously high wages but never playing? Get rid of the Yanks, PLEASE, but don't think Benitez is blameless.

Rafa didn't buy Kewell. As for the rest of your list, it's ludicrous.

The majority of those players came on a free or very low priced and were only hole fillers. Rafa has had to trade up each position, each season he's been here. His transfers, in many cases, have been mini miracles considering the retraints he's had placed on him, but still he's raised the quality of the squad unreconizably to the squad he took over.

16 million net a season says Rafa is most definitely the man for the job.

Some people are far to easily led by the media . In the last 2 seasons Rafas transfer policy has cost the club a paltry Ł3 million .

When signed Kewell & Babel had everyone excited! But even going by your argument, Rafa top us close to send position with this lot! Even won the CL with it. Do you think Frogie or Mourhino would have won with our squad? Most of these were bought because Rafa could not afford his first, often second choice players two. He tried Alves and Simoa to end up with Pennant and Degen. Was interested in Aguero and a free Vorinin arrived instead. rafa may be a fault with players in your view, but who is at fault with the new stadium? With these fradulent owners, we will always

G.gilette is or use to be the owner of the montreal canadiens ice hockey team they use to be the the best they won all the cups but when gilette took over never won a cup again so before he leaves i am afraid we don`t see a championship again for along time

why don't u juz coaching the liverpool team.. everything was easy to say, and difficult to done.. bcoz the job is like that.. i can understand what the pressure looks like.. everybody knew what was the mistake.. and you guys keeps repeating the same word.. bcoz u don't really understand what it's really looks like.. my personal view, rafa done a fine job.. even i not satisfied,, i still appreciate what he have done.. I knew he was a better prospect than gerrad in liverpool.. that my honest view..
