Gerrard out for three weeks

Steven Gerrarrd is expected to be out for at least three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury in the FA Cup game against Everton last night.
A club spokespersonsman said today
"A scan today has confirmed a tear in the hamstring of Steven's left leg. He will be out of action for about three weeks."
The injury was sustained in The Reds 1-0 defeat 5th round FA Cup game aginst their city rivals Everton.

Ain't it funny how oppo fans love it when he's not about, like the Everton fans last night and ^ ^ yet say they don't rate him.

Well he is the best player in the world. If Dixie Deane had of been dug up and paraded round the pit he wouldnt of got an ovation like Stevie got walkin off injured .
No need to panic, Liverpool coped without Torres for a lot longer. Time to stick Babel in Steve G's role and give him 3 games to sort his attitude out.
Well, we will now know the stength and depth of your squad.
Like Arsenal 2003/04, we have plenty of goal scorers:
- henry went on a scoring run, then dried up..
- in step Pires to take up the slack and continue the scoring
- when Pires slackened, Freddy stepped in,
- then bergy start scoring..
- and then henry rediscovered his scoring touch..
Your onyl consolation is that when gerrars is out, in step Torres now.
And yoru season now hang on the partnership of Torres-Kuyt, plsu with babel in the supporting to prove his worth.
And with Mascherano-Alonso in the middle.
The only weakness I see is your defence as they had been riding their luck and you are hitting a blip now.
And with ManLeeds, as usual, starting to accelerate during Feb/MArch in every season......
Which team has the greatest depth and survive the fixture congestion as from 24-feb will win the 2008/09 title.

"Coping" won't win you the title though. If Torres was playing you might have won some of those many draws you had while he was out. You could "cope" while Gerrard is out but that doesn't mean to say you'll win the games. Tbh though, i don't see what the big fuss is, he is missing to PL games. 1 against a sh.it Pompey and the other against an incosistent Citeh. I you can't do without Gerrard for those games then your squad has some serious question marks over it.

Fortunately Fat Frank was sent off before he achieved his stated aim of despatching Xabi's foot into row Z of the Centenary Stand. Unfortunately this has not always been the case.

is he actually injured or is it just an act so that he wont have to play that away game against spain?
If he was avoiding the Spain friendly he would play against Portsmouth then go down with "Giggs hamstring"
