Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has made it no secret that he is after a striker and he has publicly stated that he needs someone in this month who can score goals. Hoddle clearly thinks that Izale McLeod - who Wolves have been chasing - is a player for he future rather than now and it appears that its Frankowski who is one of Hoddle's main targets.

The 31 year old is currently playing in the Spanish second division but he was a key figure in Poland's world cup qualifying group where he scored seven goals, including a cracking volley against England at Old Trafford.

Speaking to press in Europe the 31 year old said "I have spoken to Glenn Hoddle and he is keen for me to help Wolves' chances of promotion by scoring goals"

Reports suggest that Frankowski's current side, Elche, are asking for as much as £1.4M, however this fee would probably only reach such a figure if Wolves were to be promoted - as part of a sell on clause.
