Hoddle Looks To Huddlestone To Provide Strength

Glenn Hoddle's search for a solution to his midfield malaise has seen the acquisition of Tom Huddlestone on a months loan from Spurs. The versatile youngster could offer Hoddle his midfield edge, currently missing, as well as competition, something Hoddle sees to his advantage.

"He can play centre-half or midfield so it's good that he can give us some options.

"He's a very good young player who we've seen in action for Derby and England Under-21s. He's an excellent passer of the ball and I just feel at the moment we need a bit of presence in midfield on the defensive side."
