Wolves have finally completed the signing of Darren Anderton from Birmingham City on a one year deal. New Page 1

Wolves have today completed the signing of Birmingham City midfielder Darren Anderton on a one year deal.

Anderton signed on the dotted line this morning, and could be included in the squad to face Chester in the Carling Cup tomorrow night.

The former Spurs and Pompey player tagged as 'Sicknote' made 20 appearances for Blues last season and chipped in with three goals , the signing see's Wolves add more strength to a side which can only be a good thing for Wolves hopeful promotion push.

The deal to take Anderton across the Midlands was nearly scuppered when news broke early , Jez Moxey admitted that he had to face a late threat from other clubs but worked hard to convince Anderton that Molineux was the best option.

Let's hope Anderton can keep fit and pass his knowledge and experience onto others ,in the hope Wolves can finally dominate this division and take us back to the promised land.
