Hoddle not totally happy with win over Villa

GLENN Hoddle was reasonably happy with his sides 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday but admitted his side did make errors just a week before Wolves start the season away at Southampton. New Page 1 New Page 2 New Page 1

First half goals from Carl Cort and Seyi George Olofinjana ensured Wolves of victory against the strong Villa side at a half-full Molineux but Hoddle was unhappy with how his side "lost shape" during the game.

"We had lots of scoring opportunities during the game and scored two lovely goals, but we did lose our shape in the first half." Hoddle told the clubs official website.

  "If it wasn't for Michael Oakes we could have gone in at the break 3-2 down. We were too open and could have paid the price. But the team will hopefully learn from that."

The boss also admitted that Paul Ince was missing due to a knock picked up in training.
