REPRESENTATIVES of Derby star and Wolves target Inigo Idiakez are to meet with Derby County officials today to discuss where the midfielders future lies.

Negotiations between Wolves and Derby have dragged on and on, despite the bizarre move by Derby to deny any knowledge of three separate bids from Wolves for the free-kick specialist.

Wolves have come under fire from County boss Brown who believes Wolves were wrong in making their interest in the 31 year old public. However Chief Executive Jez Moxey has admitted the club took the unusual step of making the pursuit public due to the "surprising" response from Brown and Derby.

Moxey told the Express and Star "We normally like to conduct our business as privately and confidentially as possible but we went against club policy and went public on our interest because we were surprised when Derby said there had been no official bids for him when three formal offers had gone in."

Wolves are running out of time to land the Spanish play-maker who only recently signed a new contract at Pride Park but the Express and Star claim his representatives are meeting Derby Officials today to discuss where his future lies.

The outcome of the talks will decide whether Wolves pursue their chase or move on to Hoddle's second choice target, believed to be Albion want-away midfielder Jason Koumas.

Wolves today have been linked with a move for Portsmouth Striker Ricardo Fuller. Fuller was a long term target under Jones before he moved to Pompey, but with Portsmouth making their interest in Henri Camara public, a move for the Jamaican looks even more likely, with Camara expected to be given in return.
