Camara returned to Molineux yesterday after an absence of over a year. The striker refused to train for Wolves last summer, before getting a loan move to Celtic.

At Celtic he said he was looking for yet another bigger club, but after not making the grade in Scotland he moved south, where he clinched relegation with Southampton.

Today Camara has said that he is "sorry" for how he treated the Wolves fans who voted him player of the season and said he had "no problem with Wolves" - despite still wanting a move away from Molineux.

"I never had a problem with Wolves, I just desperately wanted to keep playing at the highest level. I am sorry for the upset that followed." Camara told the clubs official website.

"I never intended to cause an offence to the supporters who voted me their Player of the Year (2003/04). I am starting training today and will work hard and see what happens."

The striker returned to training but Chief Executive Jez Moxey said that should Wolves receive an "acceptable" offer for the former Sedan man, then he will be sold.

Camara will not play in any of the upcoming friendly games.
