WOLVES boss Glenn Hoddle used no fewer that 22 players and two teams in Wolves first friendly of the pre-season away at Hednesford. Ex Celtic man Jackie McNamara made his debut. New Page 1 New Page 2 New Page 1

Hoddle opted to field two sides, each for 45 minutes in the teams first pre-season friendly of the summer.

Team 1:

Michael Oakes, Rob Edwards, Keith Lowe, Jody Craddock, Jackie McNamara, Seol, Paul Ince, Mark Davies, Rohan Ricketts, Vio Ganea, Leon Clarke.

Team 2:

Paul Jones, Martyn Riley, Joleon Lescott, Ralph Little, Lee Naylor, Mark Kennedy, Colin Cameron, Kevin Cooper, Chris Cornes, Kenny Miller, George Ndah.

Vio Ganea made just his second reserve team outing since the Premiership season and George Ndah played his second 45 minutes in the gold and black in over two years.

Wolves scored the first and only goal of the game in the first half. South Korean International Ki-Hyeon Seol it was who provided the perfect cross for youngster Leon Clarke to head home.

The second half was more of a scrappy affair than the first, but Glenn Hoddle was keen to stress that this match was for fitness more than anything.

The same teams will play against Telford tomorrow night, before Wolves get into proper friendly games, starting with Wycombe Wanderers on Friday.
