WOLVES chief executive Jez Moxey has confirmed that Carl Cort is not for sale and that Wigan Athletic have not offered the laughable £1.2M as reported. New Page 1 New Page 2 New Page 1

Reports today suggested that Premiership new boys Wigan Athletic were set to offer Wolves £1.2 Million for striker Carl Cort but Jez Moxey has denied that the club had received a bid.

"It's speculation," Jez Moxey told the clubs official website. "We have not received any offers and Carl is very much part of our plans for the coming season."

Should a bid be received it is likely Wolves will only reject it. Cort cost Wolves £2M in 2004 and has just had his best goal scoring season ever. A bid of £3M at least will be needed for Wolves to even consider a bid.
