* Wolves defender Joleon Lescott is set to start talks over a new pay deal according to the Wolverhampton Express and Star. The paper reports that the deal will make Lescott the highest paid player at the club in bid to keep the former England U21 Happy at Molineux.

* Mark Kennedy's operation on his ankle was a success and the winger is hoping to return to Molineux fit for the start of the season.

* The Molineux pitch is looking much better today, just over a month since the final game of the season. The top layer of the pitch was taken away and the pitch re-seeded. The Wolves groundsman told WOW   "We are very pleased with the progress of the pitch so far and it's looking very good for the start of the season."
