IT'S bad news for Leeds United, Sheffield United and Reading, but good news for Wolves as today the club announced that talks were set to begin with Rohan Ricketts.

The quick winger is a big target for Leeds, Sheffield United and Reading but Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle today admitted that talks involving the former Arsenal player were set to begin.

Ricketts was released by Spurs at the beginning of the week and has made his desire to play for Wolves under Hoddle no secret.

Speaking to the clubs official website today Glenn Hoddle said  "Now that Rohan is a free agent then we shall be seeking discussions with him, Rohan did well while he was with us on loan and we shall see what we can do about moving things forward from here."

The 22 year old returned to Spurs following Wolves 4-2 win over Sheffield United and told Tottenham's official website how much he enjoyed his time at Molineux.

"I enjoyed it very much and it was good to get some games under my belt," he said  "I'm grateful to the club [Spurs] for letting me go out and to Wolves for giving me the chance. I think I did fairly well and I hope it helps my career. We had a lot of draws, some of them should have been wins, but it is difficult to say now. I found the game a bit quicker in the Championship and there was a bit less time on the ball. I thought Wolves passed the ball well and showed good quality in the last few games."

Earlier this month Ricketts said he would "jump at the chance" to move to Molineux on a permanent basis.
