HE'S the man who takes most of the flak when things go wrong. However he gets very little praise when things go right. So, well done Jez Moxey! We take a look at why the former Stoke City CEO should take some praise.

"Moxey must go", "Moxey is a W*****" were chants sang at Molineux shortly after the departure of former Wolves manager Dave Jones.

After an abysmal start to the season, the former Stoke City CEO decided to terminate the contract of the man who had delivered Premiership Football for the first time in 20 years at Molineux.

It took a long time to find a successor to Jones, something which didn't help Moxey's cause, but when a successor was found the fans still weren't happy.

That was then. This is now. And it's all changed.

Today, six months after those chants, Jez Moxey is delivering bundles and bundles of good news to the Molineux faithful.

Suddenly Glenn Hoddle went from villain to hero. On Monday the former England boss signed a one-year rolling contract to the huge delight of the fans.

Hoddle had guided Wolves to just one defeat in 26 league games, ended the season unbeaten in 18 - a Championship record  - and won the final three games of the season on the bounce.

Today young sensation Matt Murray has signed a new three year deal with the club with Ince and Oakes set to follow suit.

Portuguese International Silas is due back at Molineux in the summer whilst the return after injury of Vio Ganea will be like a brand new signing.

Henri Camara could also return with Glenn Hoddle telling the Senegal International that he has a place at Molineux should he wish to accept it.

12,000 season ticket holders have already renewed and that figure is set to swell to 20,000+ during the summer.

Jez Moxey built Stoke City's Brittania Stadium without the board digging deep into their personal fortunes. "I wish he was here when we built Molineux" joked Sir Jack Hayward when we recently met up with him.

Things are looking up. Wolves fans once again have smiles on their faces. Ironically it's all down to the man the fans love to hate.
