NEWS IN BRIEF: Youngster gets Wales call-up, Naylor wants Hoddle to stay and Sheffield join race to sign Ricketts.

Call Up For Hennessy

Wolves youth team goalkeeper Wayne Hennessy has had a shock call-up for the full Welsh National side when they gather for a training camp in Spain next week.

The shot-stopper who is currently behind Oakes, Murray, Jones and Ikeme in the goalkeeping ranks has yet to even feature in a reserve game but impressed during Wolves route to the Youth Cup Semi Finals last month.

Paul Jones and Rob Edwards have also been given the call.

Naylor Wants Hoddle Stay

Wolves full-back Lee Naylor has said he wants Glenn Hoddle to sign a new contract at Molineux. The young defender told the official website "All of the lads are hoping that Glenn Hoddle comes back in the summer. It'll be good for the boys if he does and personally I want to see him back."

United Join Ricketts Race

Reports today suggest that Sheffield United have joined the race to sign Spurs winger Rohan Ricketts. The 22 year old is still on loan at Wolves but has accumulated interest from West Ham, Reading and now Sheffield United.

However the former England Under 21 star has publicly stated that should he be offered a contract at Wolves then he "wouldn't have to think twice" about putting pen to paper.
