WOLVES travel to Highfield Road and Coventry City on Saturday in a bid to emulate the performance provided against Ipswich Town on Monday Night. Carl Cort and Ki-Hyeon Seol are huge doubts.

There is no getting away from the fact that Mondays performance against Ipswich was superb. The first half football on display from the gold and black reminded fans of the Wolves of recent past.

It was the type of football on display under Dave Jones which saw Wolves roar to the top of the league in 2002 (only to lose that lead), rise to the Premiership in 2003 and take the likes of Manchester United, Everton et all last season.

However, we were not the only ones to witness the flowing football on Monday. Mickey Adams, Coventry City's manager was the SKY Sports Pundit and he has described Wolves as "frightening".

"I hate to build teams up but I think their first-half performance was the best 45 minutes of football I have seen all year." Mickey Adams told the Evening Telegraph.

"Their control was frightening, and on a bad pitch as well. They have got good players and when you look at their squad they should be up there with the promotion pack. I can understand the frustration of everyone at the club why they are not there."

Fortunately for Mickey Adams the chance of Wolves playing the same side at Highfield Road is looking incredibly slim. Carl Cort is almost certain to miss out with a thigh strain whilst Ki-Hyeon Seol will face a late fitness test.

Coventry are still in real trouble in the Championship and will see a win against Wolves, which would give them the double this season over the gold and black, a huge boost.

A win for Wolves would keep the unbeaten run going whilst a draw would edge Wolves even closer to the record of draws in a season since the league were formed (23).

2,000 tickets have already been sold for the game with an extra allocation of 1,900 being sold on the turnstiles.
