SCOTLAND and Wolves Striker Kenny Miller is set to lead the line against Italy in a crucial World Cup qualifier at the San Siro tomorrow.

The Wolves striker has bagged 17 goals this season and hopes that new Scotland boss Walter Smith will chose him to lead the line at the San Siro, a move which looks even more promising judging by the fact that McFadden and Dickov have both been ruled out through injury.

Glenn Hoddle has persisted in playing Miller for Wolves this season and Miller says how much he has enjoyed working with the former England boss.

'He has come in and had a positive effect on the team. He is a man who has managed and played at the highest level so you can only learn from someone like that." Said Miller

'He has changed the way the team has played and it has been great working with him.'

The chances of Wolves reaching the domestic Play-Offs is looking near impossible, but Miller still believes his Scotland side can reach the play-offs for the 2006 World Cup.

'We can still approach each game optimistically, although it has not been a great start and we would have preferred to have had three or four more points on the board." Miller told ESPN.

'Hopefully we can get the right results that will see us climbing up the table and get into that second spot. We can definitely still qualify. We haven't had the best of starts but if you look to the last campaign our home form was especially good.

'So if we can get that back again and build on it we will have a good chance.'
