Make McGarry Proud - Wolves Vs Stoke

Due One

THE Play-Offs are such a long way away. However in Football you never know. If Wolves can beat Stoke then who knows? It's Wolves Vs Stoke City.

Firstly however we must look back at a true Wolves great. A Manager that took Wolves to a Uefa Cup final and won the League Cup final.

He was the man who bought the good times back to Molineux and with the good times came some great names. John McAlle was one of those names and he's been telling the official website about a certain Bill McGarry, who sadly passed away on Tuesday.

"He was a strict disciplinarian but if you did the things he wanted both on and off the field, and they were always the right things, then you would have no problems with him at all." Said McAlle who played under McGarry for eight years.

"Bill took us to two Cup semi-finals - one League and one FA Cup - and the UEFA Cup final before we finally won silverware by taking the League Cup in 1974, beating Manchester City 2-1."

McGarry died in South Africa where he lived on Tuesday and there will be a minutes silence prior to Saturdays game with Stoke City at Molineux.

McGarry will probably be watching events at Molineux from somewhere up high tomorrow in what is a game Wolves must win.

Tuesday nights victory over Burnley made it just one defeat in sixteen games and a win against a tough Stoke City side could move Wolves to within 5 points off the play-offs. Then you just never know.

Molineux has been quiet recently, but it's time to raise the roof and cheer the players on to what will hopefully be a very important three points.

Hoddle has no new injury worries for the game whish is expected to be a sell-out.

RIP Bill McGarry
