As always, Molineux at this time of the year is very busy but today the players were to meet Four new faces, all Four players are out of contract and all Four players are on trial.
Simon Ford from Grimsby, Russell Howarth from York City, Tresor Luntala from Birmingham and Coventry`s Marc Edworthy all started a trial period today as Jones hopes to monitor their progress which will hopefully end in one or more players signing on a full time basis.
This is the second time on trial for Russell Howarth as he played in the Reserves Home victory back in January. The Ex York City Goalkeeper told the clubs Official Website
"I was offered a new contract at York but I turned it down," he said. "I had a good time when I was with Wolves earlier this year and I’ve enjoyed myself this week. I’d love to stay here."
Grimsby Central Defender Simon Ford told the Official Website "I knew just after Christmas that Wolves had been watching me."
"It goes without saying that this is a good club with a good set up. I haven’t spoken to the manager yet but everyone has been friendly and very approachable. Training this week has been hard but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it."
French Midfielder Luntala joined Blues in the summer of 1999 from Rennes and the 20-year-old was a member of the City team that lost at Molineux last December.
Whilst Barnstable born Marc Edworthy could be the ideal replacement for departed Aussie Defender Kevin Muscat.
