WOLVES boss Glenn Hoddle was delighted with his first league win as Wolves manager, but said the goals were "Ugly". Paul Ince won't think so.

"They were the four ugliest goals I've seen us score but that win, along with the Cup victory over Millwall, has given us a platform to work on." Said Hoddle after the game.

"They were the four ugliest goals I've seen us score"

"At 2-2 it was a crucial period but we showed character and drove ourselves on. I'd said at half-time we were going to have to win it in an ugly manner and that's what happened. When they made mistakes, we punished them."

Hoddle also admitted that Oakes was disappointed to lose his place in the team, but was full of praise for Seol and Paul Ince.

"Seol has been excellent again, he's made for this position. He needs to work on his defensive play but he is still learning the English game. He's enjoying it at the moment.

"Paul (Ince) is a real driving force - the sort of player who can urge others on regardless of what sort of game he is having himself."

Alan Pardew:

"We're disappointed with the goals which we conceded.

"We gifted Wolves goals and shot ourselves in the foot at critical moments in the match."
