WOLVES Starlet Sammy Clingan has returned from a hugely successful loan spell at Chesterfield and now the youngster wants to break into the first team.

Clingan had one week of his three-month loan spell remaining, but due to Chesterfield not having a game this weekend due to being knocked out of the FA Cup, Clingan has returned to Wolves.

The highly thought of 20 year old played 15 times for Chesterfield scoring two goals, including one 30 yard screamer.

"I've enjoyed it [Chesterfield loan spell] and it's been a real experience playing week in, week out." Said Clingan

"Overall it's been a pleasure and I thank everyone at Chesterfield and hopefully I can go back to Wolves and get into the first team now.

"I would like to think that I have helped Chesterfield. I tried my best whilst I have been here and I want to thank the club for all they have done for me."
