Saturday sees Wolves entertain high flying Reading in an intriguing encounter at Molineux. Both sides have reputations for playing attractive football and this should ensure a pre-Christmas treat for supporters of both sides in a game where football is sure to be the winner.

Reading or the Royals as they are affectionately known have made a fine start to the season and find themselves nicely nestled in the play-off places ready for an all out assault on automatic promotion in the new year. Their home form is sensational with 8 wins and 3 draws from their 11 games at 'Fortress Madejski' however they are a little more fallible on the road as the 5 defeats to their name suggests and this will provide a glimmer of hope for the Wolves fans aiming for victory.

Royals manager Steve Coppell has assembled a fine squad at the Madejski which looks capable of being the first ever Reading side to compete in the top flight. One of the stars of the Reading line up is cultured and skillful full-back Nicky Shorey. Shorey has built up quite a reputation in his time at the Royals and seems destined for the Premiership with or without his current employers. Another Reading star is big Ginger Dave Kitson. Kitson is an imposing striker very much in the Steve Bull mould and has developed cult status with the Royals faithful. As leading scorer in the Championship he will strike fear into the hearts of defenders across the country.

Wolves go into the game in mixed form, they will take some heart from the entertaining 3-3 draw at Sheffield United but will be well aware they will need to improve on their 1-0 defeat to Coventry in their last game at Molinuex if they are to avoid a drubbing to the Royals. Super-caretaker Stuart Gray knows that the Wanderers will need to find some consistency if they are to use the second half of the season for a push on the play-offs instead of a dogfight against relegation.

Gray has a near fully fit side to choose from with no fresh injury worries. He will need to decide whether to continue with heavy Keith Andrews or replace him with a winger with both Shaun Newton and Korean favourite Seol in the frame. Kenny Miller is also pushing for a starting place after an impressive cameo at Bramall Lane.
