SOUTH African Coach and self-confessed Wolves fan Stuart Baxter has rejected the chance to become manager at Molineux according to today's reports.

As the hunt for Wolves' new manager goes into it's 30th day, Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey has added that Wolves are still no closer to appointing a successor to Dave Jones.

However it is believed the situation would have been resolved much earlier if Baxter hadn't rejected an offer from Wolves.

Baxter was appointed the national coach of South Africa in April this year following work for the English FA and a fantastic record in Sweden.

Whilst in Sweden he won six titles, won a manager of the year award and took AIK Stockholm to a famous double.

Baxter is also one of a small-group of World Wide coaches to hold the highest coaching badge in football, the Uefa Pro License.

The Daily Mail today runs a piece suggesting that Baxter - who has been interviewed for two previous vacancies at Molineux - has admitted to rejecting an offer from Wolves.

After being turned down twice before by the Wolves board, few Wolves fans would begrudge Baxter the chance to succeed in the next World Cup with South Africa.

He has reportedly rejected the offer because his wife is settled in Africa and because he's a loyal man who wishes to see out his two year contract.
