WOLVES are set to offer Wolves winger Shaun
Newton a new contract and Wolves will also aim to rectify issues with Colin
Cameron and Lee Naylor.
Newton is out of contract at the end of the
season and has been an ever-present since his £850,000 move from Charlton in
the summer of 2001.
Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey has said
that Wolves are set to sit down and offer the 100%er a new contract.
"The manager has indicated he's part
of his plans so he's one we will be sitting down with to sort out his
future" Said Moxey.
Wolves midfielder Colin Cameron and
full-back Lee Naylor have both recently turned down contracts and Wolves will be
looking to try and come to an agreement over the contracts in the next few
weeks.
Cameron was offered a one year deal, but
would like a two year deal and Lee Naylor, the clubs longest serving player,
would like a testimonial game written in to his three year deal.
"Lee's agent texted me recently, when
I was away indicating he wanted to talk"
"Hopefully we can move in the right
direction. That's the same for Colin. We're relaxed because if they don't want
to sign that's fine as well" Moxey added.
