WOLVES hope to be able to add a new striker to the squad in time for Saturday's Coca Cola encounter with Leeds United. However the striker will not be signed in time for tomorrows game against Preston.

WOLVES hope to be able to add a new striker to the squad in time for Saturday's Coca Cola encounter with Leeds United. However the striker will not be signed in time for tomorrows game against Preston.

Of the five first senior players Wolves have on the books, only Scottish International Kenny Miller is fit.

Dean Sturridge is suffering with a hamstring problem whilst Cort and Ndah both have niggling injuries which will keep them both out of action for the next few weeks.

Of the injured list, Romanian International Vio Ganea has the worst injury as it was confirmed yesterday that the Striker would be out for at least six months with a cruciate knee ligament injury. 

Academy rookie Leon Clarke, who made his league debut as a second half substitute in Saturdays poor performance at the Britannia stadium on Sunday is the only other fit striker and Clarke will be expected to start against Preston at Molineux tomorrow.

However Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey claims that a new mystery striker will be signed, on loan, in time for Saturdays game with Leeds United.

Wolves have not hinted at the identity of the Striker but rumours have suggested Czech star Heinz and Charlton's Shaun Bartlett may be on the verge of a Molineux move.
