WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers last night clinched the signature of 33 year old former Sunderland and Swedish International Joachim Bjorklund.

Wolves have been desperate for centre-back cover since Paul Butler moved to Leeds at the end of last season.

Hopes to bring in Leeds Michael Dubbery were canceled at the last minutes and other potential targets slipped through the Wolves net.

However Bjorklund - a free agent after being released by Sunderland - has signed a one year deal with Wolves.
