WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS and Manchester City have agreed to play in a pre-season friendly at Molineux. A date for the game is yet to be announced.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS and Manchester City have agreed to play in a pre-season friendly at Molineux. A date for the game is yet to be announced.

With Wolves being relegated from the Premiership and Manchester City surviving by the skin of their teeth in the Premiership it has made it possible for the two clubs to meet in a pre-season friendly at Molineux.

 

FA regulations state that two teams from the same league are unable to meet each other in a friendly and Wolves Officials have chosen Premiership opposition for one of several friendly games to be played at Molineux.

 

Wolves beat Manchester City 1-0 at home and then drew 3-3 in an exciting relegation battle at the City Of Manchester Stadium late in the 

last Premiership campaign.

 

It is also believed that Wolves are trying to line up a friendly with Champions League finalists FC Porto.
